A nut roaster that shows you the temperature
Most small-scale nut roasting happens in an oven or an air fryer, and most of it is guesswork — no temperature reading, no control over applied heat, and a product that burns in seconds.
An RK Drum is a rotisserie drum roaster that installs into a standard rotisserie gas grill. Solid 304 stainless, 16 gauge, TIG-welded throughout, no rivets, lifetime warranty on the drum. Add the RoastPilot controller and a thermocouple in the rotisserie handle reads the nuts directly.
What makes it a nut roaster
Shorter vanes. The vanes are the ribs inside the drum that lift and tumble the product, and their length is sized to what you are roasting. A peanut in the shell or a pecan half is many times the size of a coffee bean and needs more clearance to toss. Vanes cut for coffee do not leave enough room, so the nuts do not tumble properly and do not roast evenly. We cut them shorter — same drum, same steel, same welds, different vane geometry, specified at build time. We can do that because every RK Drum is built to order in our own shop rather than stamped out to one pattern.
Real temperature. Nuts give no audible cue and burn fast. A probe in the product is the difference between a repeatable roast and an expensive tray of carbon.
Choose Nuts as the primary roasted product when you order and the drum is built accordingly.
